v2.0.0

Hyperflow v2: a fully modular architecture and performance rebuilt from the ground up.

Why a v2

Hyperflow v1 helped over 300 merchants launch their store. But its structure was too rigid: sections were fixed and blocks could not be reused anywhere else.

With the latest evolution of Shopify's block system (blocks that can contain other blocks), a new architecture finally becomes possible.

v2 starts from a new foundation: a genuinely modular theme, where every section is made of interchangeable blocks, and where every block can itself contain other blocks. You build your store brick by brick. You change the order, you reuse blocks wherever you want. Without touching code.

What actually changes

  • Over 100 modular blocks (vs 34 in v1). In v1, every block was locked inside its parent section and impossible to reuse elsewhere. In v2, blocks are universal: drop them in any section, nest them in groups, combine them freely.
  • 95+ PageSpeed Insights score on mobile. A store that loads fast converts better.

New in v2

Sticky + scrolling column

A layout where an image or video stays pinned on screen while your copy and benefits scroll alongside it. Ideal for telling your product story in an immersive way. This mechanic partly existed in the v1 "timeline / steps" section; it is now a standalone layout that accepts every modular block.

Universal custom section

A single, fully modular section where you drop the blocks you want in the order you want. No more juggling 10 specialized sections: you build your page exactly as you picture it. This section is what we used to create 90% of the current v2 sections.

Built-in breadcrumbs

A dedicated breadcrumb section, with structured data generated automatically. Bonus: the breadcrumbs also show up in Google results.

Image gallery with fullscreen view

A gallery block that opens a fullscreen view you can swipe through like Instagram. Ideal for showcasing lifestyle photos or product series. This block also lets you add images and videos to your testimonial carousels, for example.

Statistics

A dedicated block for showing key numbers (customers, years in business, average rating, countries shipped to, and so on) with an animation on reveal.

Cross-sell

A dedicated block for offering a matching product on any page.

Slide-out cart rebuilt

The slide-out cart has been completely rethought in modular blocks. You add, reorder, and customize every element directly in the Shopify editor:

  • Urgency countdown inside the cart
  • Rewards bar (free shipping or a free gift above a certain amount)
  • Recommended products carousel
  • Clickable promo code
  • Payment icons and trust badges
  • Fully customizable cart header, body, and footer

And beyond these dedicated blocks, the slide-out cart also accepts every modular block in the theme: you can drop in text, an image, a countdown, a promo banner, a testimonial. The cart becomes a real editorial space.

In v1, these features were hardcoded. In v2, each element is a block you can enable, disable, and move without touching code.

Features rebuilt as modular blocks

Every feature that already existed in v1 but was confined to its own section has been migrated into reusable blocks. You can now drop them into any section, nest them in a group, and combine them freely.

  • Video stories
  • Image hotspots (the popup that opens on click can now contain any block: image, video, product card, text)
  • Before / after slider
  • Stacked cards
  • Urgency countdown
  • Estimated delivery date
  • Comparison table
  • Modular carousel (accepting any block as a slide, vs videos only in v1)
  • Testimonials with an image and video gallery
  • Variant selectors (pill buttons, color swatches, clickable images)
  • Size guide (popup + table)
  • FAQ accordion
  • Accordion tabs
  • Timeline
  • Text animations (typewriter, wave)
  • Scrolling bar
  • Mega menu (images, videos, submenus, CTA buttons, carousel)
  • Clickable promo code

Unified hero banner

The image banner, image banner with content, video banner, and hero carousel from v1 have been replaced by a single modular "Banner" section that accepts every modular block in the theme: heading, text, button, image, video, countdown, badges, testimonials, hotspots, and more. You compose your hero exactly as you picture it.

Composable architecture

v2 introduces four simple concepts:

  1. Basic blocks: heading, text, button, image, divider. The elementary bricks you drop anywhere.
  2. Functional blocks: stories, bundles, hotspots, stacked cards, and so on. The standalone CRO features.
  3. Group blocks: these let you position your blocks however you want. In a column, in a row, stacked, in a grid. With different behavior on desktop and mobile (for example: 3 columns on desktop, 1 column on mobile). This is what lets you build complex layouts without coding.
  4. Ready-made sections: starting from the custom section, we built a library of pre-composed sections (for the homepage, product page, collection page, and more). Use them as they are, modify them, or create your own.

You can nest a group inside a group, drag a block from one place to another, and duplicate an entire page.

Unified customization

The theme's global settings (colors, fonts, buttons, cards, spacing) are now shared by every block. Change a color or a button style in the settings, and every affected block updates automatically.

New on the visual side: colors now support transparency (semi-transparent is possible), and each typography style can be set separately on desktop and mobile.

Menu opening rethought

Menus open with a smooth unfolding animation, for a more premium feel. On mobile, the background blurs slightly to isolate the menu while it is open.
